Susan Nichole Handbags are awesome!

So every Thursday on Facebook Susan Nichole Handbags does a giveaway, where they randomly select people to win either a $25 GC, hand bag, purse or handbag and purse. 

I was lucky enough to win the handbag AND purse! 

I screamed when I saw my name and made my husband jump out of his skin. I couldn't believe it! Yay :D

Yay, Summer!

So today I've been feeling all summery and have been trying out some new hairstyles. 

I used to model back in England, which, for me meant I had short, short hair for about 5 years. The length I have it at now, I haven't had for aaages. So I'm loving it! I love that I can now try so many things with my hair. 

Anyway.. I made a headband out of a dress I don't wear any more. Now, I love art, but I'm terrible at it. So, I was prepared for this to go terribly wrong and it's not the best thing in the world, but I like it and I'm proud. 

I like the lace bit :D 

After I made this, I was trying a lot of other styles. Mostly french braids. But I'm a very impatient person and very heavy handed, so I'm not good with little plaits and all that delicate stuff. So I was getting very angry as I could not do something the internet claimed as 'easy-to-do.' "Just wrap it around like that," they said, "Just pull it up like that," they said. Pfft, whatever. I'll just tie my hair up into a ponytail and be done with it. (grumpy face.) 

It's 2:50PM and my husband is STILL not up. Amazing. I'm waiting for him to start up the grill, I'm hungry! While I wait, I'm going to go out for a walk. Lovely day today :) xoxox

All of this crazy weather..

So, if you're from England, you'll know what I'm talking about when I say the weather is mild. Where I'm from, we never get more than and inch of snow and then in the summer, it never gets higher than 77F. So, when I moved to America, I was in for a huge shock. I've only been here for about 5 months now and I've experienced 3 tornado warnings, 5 or 6 huge thunderstorms, 8 inches of snow and about 10C over anything I've ever experienced. 

Oh, and the real funny thing is? People over here have claimed it's been a mild winter. MILD?! Pahaha........Wait. You were being serious?

Thousands of miles away from the people I love..

I don't think anyone could prepare you for the pain and difficulty you would have to face being away from your family. I knew it would be coming to me and I had a year to prepare for it but it made no difference. 

I have an extremely close bond to my Mum. She's my best friend, my rock and I love her more than anything. So being 3,000 miles away from her? Is SO hard. Especially when she goes through rough patches and I'm not there to give her a hug, support her and make her feel better.  

I moved to America in January, married the loveliest guy in the world and I couldn't be happier. But the pain never goes. I still have moments where I just want to be with my family, my pets, my friends. It's hard, but I have found ways to cope with it. I know I'm not the first person to go through this. I will see them again, and that's what I just have to keep telling myself.

Kind of new with this..

So, I'm totally new to blogging. I'm going to kind of just wing it and do what I suppose is normal in the blogging world! I just needed a place where I could type. Type down my feelings, thoughts and so on. I have a journal, but that just doesn't seem to do it for me. So, this is the start! 


I don't have a clue who will read this, if anyone. But if you do, hello, nice to meet you and I hope you enjoy reading! 


I think, seeing as I'm getting to grips with this I'll leave it at that! Haha. I'll get the hang of it.
